Scaling law of Wolff cluster surface energy
نویسنده
چکیده
We study the scaling properties of the clusters grown by the Wolff algorithm on seven different Sierpinski-type fractals of Hausdorff dimension 1 < df ≤ 3 in the framework of the Ising model. The mean absolute value of the surface energy of Wolff cluster follows a power law with respect to the lattice size. Moreover, we investigate the probability density distribution of the surface energy of Wolff cluster and are able to establish a new scaling relation. It enables us to introduce a new exponent associated to the surface energy of Wolff cluster. Finally, this new exponent is linked to a dynamical exponent via an inequality. Connection between the virial equation of state and physical clusters in a low density vapor.
We carry out Monte Carlo simulations of physical Lennard-Jones and water clusters and show that the number of physical clusters in vapor is directly related to the virial equation of state. This relation holds at temperatures clearly below the critical temperatures, in other words, as long as the cluster-cluster interactions can be neglected--a typical assumption used in theories of nucleation....
متن کاملTurbulent Velocity Fields in SPH–simulated Galaxy Clusters: Scaling Laws for the Turbulent Energy
We present a study of the turbulent velocity fields in the Intra Cluster Medium of a sample of 21 galaxy clusters simulated by the SPH–code Gadget2, using a new numerical scheme where the artificial viscosity is suppressed outside shocks. The turbulent motions in the ICM of our simulated clusters are detected with a novel method devised to better disentangle laminar bulk motions from chaotic on...
متن کاملMolecular Dynamics Simulation of Al Energetic Nano Cluster Impact (ECI) onto the Surface
On the atomic scale, Molecular Dynamic (MD) Simulation of Nano Al cluster impact on Al (100) substrate surface has been carried out for energies of 1-20 eV/atom to understand quantitatively the interaction mechanisms between the cluster atoms and the substrate atoms. The many body Embedded Atom Method (EAM) was used in this simulation. We investigated the maximum substrate temperature Tmax and...
متن کاملMonte Carlo Simulations of the Nematic – Isotropic Transition
We report the results of simulations of the Lebwohl-Lasher model of the nematic–isotropic transition using a new cluster Monte Carlo algorithm. The algorithm is a modification of the Wolff algorithm for spin systems, and greatly reduces critical slowing down. We calculate the free energy in the neighborhood of the transition for systems up to linear size 70. We find a double well structure with...

The Scaling Law for the Discrete Kinetic Growth Percolation Model The critical exponent of the total number of finite clusters α is calculated directly without using scaling hypothesis both below and above the percolation threshold pc based on a kinetic growth percolation model in two and three dimensions. Simultaneously, we can calculate other critical exponents β and γ, and show that the scal...
